Terms of Service
These terms apply when you buy from Story & Snap. Please read them before you order. Nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Story & Snap is a trading name of STORYANDSNAP LTD, registered in England and Wales. Contact us at info@storyandsnap.com.
1. What you are buying
Every piece is made to order and personalised to you. You design it yourself in our online designer — you choose the photos, the words, the layout, the colours and the format. We print and deliver exactly the design you approve.
2. Your photos and your words
This is the most important section, so it is written plainly.
- Your photos stay yours. We do not claim any ownership of the images or words you upload.
- You confirm you have the right to use them. By uploading, you confirm that you own the photos or otherwise have permission to use them, and that printing them will not infringe anyone else’s copyright, trademark or privacy. If a photo was taken by a professional photographer, you may need their permission.
- You give us permission only to make your order. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, adapt and print your photos and words for the sole purpose of producing and delivering your order. That includes sharing them with our print partner, who prints and ships on our behalf.
- We will never use your photos to advertise. We will not publish, sell, share or use your images for marketing or any other purpose without asking you first and getting your agreement.
- We delete them. Your uploaded photos and your finished print file are permanently deleted within 60 days of your order. See our Privacy policy for detail.
- What you may not upload. Anything unlawful, hateful, obscene, or that infringes someone else’s rights. We may refuse or cancel an order containing such content and refund you.
3. Approving your design
You review and approve your design before you pay. Please check your spelling and your words carefully — we print what you approve, so we cannot offer a free reprint for a spelling or wording mistake in the text you supplied.
Photo quality matters too. A small or low-resolution photo will print soft. The designer warns you where it can, but the final choice is yours.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in your local currency and include any applicable taxes shown at checkout. Delivery is charged separately and shown before you pay. We take payment when you place your order, because production begins immediately.
5. Delivery
Delivery estimates are given in working days and combine production and shipping. They are estimates, not guarantees, and can be affected by carriers, customs and public holidays. Risk passes to you on delivery.
6. Cancelling
Because every piece is personalised and made specifically for you, the usual 14-day right to change your mind does not apply (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013). Once production has started your order cannot be cancelled. If you contact us very quickly after ordering we will always try to help, but we cannot promise it.
7. If something is wrong
If your piece arrives damaged, or there is a genuine fault with the printing, tell us within 7 days of receiving it and send a photo. We will arrange a free reprint, or a refund where a reprint is not possible.
There is nothing to send back. A custom piece has no resale value, so we never ask you to return one. This does not affect your statutory rights in respect of faulty goods.
8. Our responsibility
If we fail to meet these terms we are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of that failure. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the version published when you order is the one that applies to your order. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales.
